RICK AND MORTY Season 3 Episode 2 and the Rickmobile

It’s been just over a month since audiences were treated to the April Fools’s “non-prank” season 3 premiere episode of Rick and Morty. But since then, the folks at Adult Swim have been mostly radio silent in regards to the next episodes.

Fans anticipate any news on the plot or release date for Season 3 Episode 2 of Rick and Morty, which, according to the show’s official Twitter account, is entitled “Rickmancing the Stone.”

What we also know, other than the title, is that it will air sometime in the summer. This tidbit, revealed during a promo that premiered during the April Fools episode, “The Rickshank Redemption,” can be seen here:

Fans may infer the plot of the second episode from its title. Rick and Morty typically has plots that play on the title of the movie that the episode references.

“The Rickshank Redemption,” a play on The Shawshank Redemption, explored how Rick escaped from the Galactic Prison.

“Rickmancing the Stone” is undoubtedly a play on the 1984 movie, Romancing the Stone. The action-adventure film involves searching for a sister and an important gemstone. We can infer the next episode’s plot will mimic this in some way.

How Pickle Rick plays into this is still unclear.

In the meantime, keep a lookout for the Rickmobile.

This sweet ride is part of a promotional road trip called “Don’t Even Trip Road Trip.” This truck topped with a drooling Rick on his hands and knees is driving across the country. It will make a stop in most states, carrying Rick and Morty merchandise. You can see the Rickmobile tour list here.

As spring comes to an end, stay tuned for more updates about Season 3 of Rick and Morty.

Michael E. Fromm is an all-around scrivener, writing screenplays (short and feature), short stories, novels, poetry, blogs, articles, and press releases. Since first learning to hold a pen, he has done little but read, watch, and write about characters and worlds of fantasy. It would be very difficult to find him without a pen in hand and an idea in mind, which is problematic for anyone wanting to have a conversation with him. Michael graduated from Rowan University, primarily focusing on improving his skills as a filmmaker and screenwriter. After said schooling, he joined an elite force of Rowan grads who also had the notion of becoming filmmakers. This group, known as Justice Productions, call on him every so often to write short films. And, until this whole writing thing pays off, Michael currently does development & marketing communication (writing, graphic & publication design, social media and website upkeep, etc.) for a web development company in Central New Jersey, where he currently resides.
