It’s no secret that the DC Extended Universe has had a rough start. Although many enjoyed Man of Steel, 2016 brought us two disappointments in Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad. Audiences desperately want a fleshed out, amazing series of films from DC Comics, and are looking to Wonder Woman and Justice League to be the spark Warner Bros. needs.

The Wrap reporter and “scooper” Umberto Gonzalez has some information on the buzz regarding DC’s 2017 films, and it might show some good news that fans can get excited about.

As always, take reports like this with a grain of salt. Gonzalez has had many accurate reports in the past, but there have also been a considerable amount of scoops that turned out to be false.

Wonder Woman plot synopsis: “Wonder Woman’ hits movie theaters around the world next summer when Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action adventure from director Patty Jenkins. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.”

Justice League plot synopsis: “Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy.  Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat.  But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”

Wonder Woman hits theaters on June 2, 2017; Justice League is released on November 17, 2017.
