Variety reports that Robbie Amell (The Flash, The Tomorrow People) and Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under) have been added to the growing cast of the X-Files revival as Agent Miller and Agent Einstein respectively. Their Episodes have been confirmed to take place in the present day, dispelling speculation that they could be playing a younger Mulder and Scully in a Flash back due to their likeness to the original actors (Ambrose’s red hair in particular fueled those theories)
They Join returning cast members David Duchovny (Agent Fox Mulder), Gillian Anderson (Agent Dana Scully), Mitch Pileggi (Walt Skinner) and Willaim B. Davis reprising his role as the fan favorite villian “Cigarette Smoking Man”. The show will also introduce new characters played by Joel McHale, Annet Mahendru, Rhys Darby and Kumail Nanjiani.
